Seattle Fashion Week keeps getting it right and keeps getting better.
This year, the week featured designers from India, Somalia, Dubai, Romania, China, Iran - and, naturally, Seattle - and the trend was to cut one's own trail through the fashion jungle and forget what New York and Milan are doing.
The events encompassing Seattle Fashion Week 2010 are sure to push some of the global designers further into the consciousness of mainstream couture. Their fashions will soon be in boutiques where consumers seek out new designers in order to get early access to emerging fashion trends.

Urban Designers event on Friday May 14th
This evening was filled with the latest clothing from Ducati, Strut Boutique, Bebe, United Colors of Benetton, and 7 For All Mankind.
This show followed the script for previous Fashion Week Friday nights and it did not disappoint those wishing to see hip urban attire.
Established Designers event on Saturday May 15th
This was the pinnacle of Seattle Fashion Week and reflected this year's celebration of global talent. This is always the must-see event and it was so far from the usual Fashion Week finale as to be extraordinary and truly memorable.
Exceptional pieces from established American and international designers were featured:
B'ZMA from Dubai, Eva Chen from Richmond BC, Canada, House of Versatile Styles from Washington DC, Blayne Walsh from Seattle, WA
Monapali from Delhi, India, Vera Wang bridal collection (with an appearance on the runway by Apolo Ohno)and Catalin Botezatu from Romania.
If they keep going in this direction, Seattle Fashion Week will be an important stop on the world press global fashion tour. Seattle is on the brink of a breakthrough and all who attended were witness to a remarkable series of fashion events.
