Daniel Lassman's career as a hairstylist, educator and photographer spans three decades.
His profession has afforded him the opportunity to gather knowledge and experience from a diverse field of salons and has shown him how different working environments increase productivity and stylist satisfaction.
He uses this experience to educate and mentor stylists and salon entrepreneurs.
Daniel started out as an apprentice in an era where each stylist was taught fundamentals of technique and customer service. Through a regime of advanced cutting and coloring, he grew as both a stylist and creative force. He has been a salon educator and a developer of educational materials. He teaches advanced techniques in cutting, coloration and event styling, passing along knowledge that has been entrusted to him by his gifted mentors.
Daniel has also had the pleasure of sharing his passion for the hair industry on stage, as a platform artist with an international product company. He entertains audiences utilizing highly technical skills and vast knowledge, while approaching hair as a self-expressive art form.
In the past few years, Daniel made the decision to free himself from the schedules of fashion photographers and learned the fine art of beauty photography. He combines - through precise methods - the art and science of hair imagery and creates photographs that reach into the soul of his subjects. His photography has been featured in hair industry publications and can be seen at Capelli d'Oro.
Daniel keeps very fit through running, proper diet and lifting weights. He writes poetry, paints and draws, plays blues guitar, and is close to his friends and family. Daniel offers his services at Obadiah Salon, in Bellevue, Washington.
